Our story

Building the infrastructure for township food security.

Kasi Harvest is not a charity brochure — it's an operating system for the people already doing the work.

Our mission

To build South Africa's township food infrastructure — connecting verified organisations with the funding, food, suppliers and opportunities they need to feed their communities reliably.

Our vision

A future where no township organisation helping its community ever operates unsupported, invisible or alone.

What we stand for

Our values

Trust

Verification first. Credibility is the currency of giving.

Transparency

Every rand and every meal is visible and accounted for.

Community-first

We build with townships, not for them.

Hope

We measure progress, and we share it openly.

“The goodwill was always there. What was missing was the infrastructure to connect it to the people doing the work.”

— The Kasi Harvest founding team

Why Kasi Harvest exists

Founded in the township, built for scale.

We saw incredible organisations — kitchens, gardens, feeding schemes — doing essential work with almost no visibility or support. At the same time, sponsors wanted to give but couldn't find trustworthy, verifiable partners.

Kasi Harvest is the connective layer: verification, readiness scoring, real-time needs and transparent reporting — so credible organisations get seen, and sponsors give with confidence.
